What if I want to go to a Two-Year or Four-year college after graduation?
Two-Year Colleges:
Most two-year colleges only require that you have a high school diploma or GED for entrance. Most require that you have taken either the ACT or SAT. They don’t use these tests for entrance requirements, but for placement in academic classes. Some two-year colleges require the ACT or SAT for entrance into vocational training programs, i.e., licensed practical nursing.
If you plan to attend a two-year college first, then transfer to a four-year college, you can use your first two years to build skills and take courses needed for entrance into a four-year school.

Four-Year Colleges:
Entrance requirements vary depending on the particular school and specific majors, but generally, these are the requirements at most institutions in Colorado.

- Science: Three years: Includes Chemistry
- Social Studies: Two to three years
- Foreign Language: Two years recommended. Some colleges require three years of the same foreign language.
- Fine Arts: One year recommended
- Computers: One semester recommended
